Hope For The Journey is a group of clinicians dedicated to healing trauma, especially that rooted in sexual abuse and sexual assault.

If you’re here, likely you or someone you love has been through the ringer. Life isn’t always fair or nice, and we don’t always get what we deserve. Going through a traumatic experience–whether it was in childhood or as an adult–can cause ripples in your life that impact your relationships, your mood, and your body. Without treatment, you might feel alone and overwhelmed. You just want to move past it, but can’t seem to figure out how.

Life without support after a traumatic experience can often include:

  • feeling different and alone
  • you can’t trust people
  • struggling with day-to-day things…even things you once loved
  • you feel on edge and jumpy
  • avoiding people and places that make you remember what happened
  • feeling stuck

The idea of going into therapy might be foreign. Or maybe you’ve been to lots of therapy and nothing’s worked. Our clinicians make counseling work for you.

We go at your pace, root out what works and build from there. We are trained in proven counseling methods. Because we work with trauma day in and day out, we stay at the top of our game clinically. But most importantly, we are successful because we know you matter. Your experience from start to finish helps determine your treatment plan. We focus on you and focus on what works so that you can not just heal, but thrive.

A huge majority of our clients have experience a sexual trauma, but not all. Our clinicians can work with any sorts of traumas–from motor vehicle accidents to veteran issues to chronic neglect as a child and everything in between. We have a special place in our hearts for sexual trauma survivors because we know how hard it can be to work through this particular experience. As trauma experts, we want to offer a place where you can feel safe knowing that you are in good hands.

How We Help

We offer traditional one-on-one counseling services, but have many other options, too. For instance, if it’s hard to get into the office, you might be interested in our online video services. At different times, we also offer a variety of groups and educational seminars, which can be more cost-effective.

We make counseling as smooth and easy to understand as possible–from cost questions to practical steps you can make from day one to get rid of nightmares and flashbacks.

Supporting you heal and stand strong is our top priority.
