Hope For The Journey

Presley Black, LPC-Associate, she/her/hers

Specialized Trauma Counseling for Texas

 Hi! I’m Presley.

Walking through the world as a woman can present many challenges such as…

  • Sexuality and gender identity
  • Miscarriage, infertility, and motherhood
  • Grief
  • Hormone and mood imbalances
  • Addiction
  • Disordered eating & body image

I help adults of all ages to grow confident in who they are and take charge of creating a life they adore.

Why My Clients Choose Me For Infertility and Grief Recovery

It gets harder and harder to hold it together for the people around you when you have unresolved grief. You may look okay to the rest of the world, but inside you know you are hurting. And what if pausing to take care of yourself would mean that your family, your business, and your loved ones would actually be better off, too?

Resolving grief from issues like pregnancy, postpartum, eating disorders, and more can lead to…

  • Improved relationships
  • Authenticity
  • Freedom from all the “shoulds”
  • Decreased anger and irritability
  • Improved sleep & overall health

You deserve to feel better, but your loved ones depend on it. If you’re ready to get started, I would love to help you find your way.

Why Seek Trauma and Depression Help?

Often, we don’t recognize we’re in a trauma until we’re out of it. Even then, it can be hard to admit how hard it was.

Some examples include clients who suffered infidelity from their partner. Or others who denied the queer parts of their identity. Still others were working themselves raw trying to make up for this nebulous feeling of “I’m not good enough” without any real understanding where the belief comes from.

Starting to admit that there was a problem is not a weakness; it’s a sign of strength. And it’s a beginning that can lead to more…

  • Joy
  • Connection
  • Healing
  • Balance
  • Health and wellness

Why I Love Working with Women of All Ages

You aren’t looking for someone to tell you what to do. In many ways, YOU are the person people look to for advice.

So therapy needs, instead, to be a place where you can let go of all your responsibilities and obligations. A place where I can hold space for you to explore, heal, and learn to listen to yourself.

Are you ready to get started?

All About Trauma Specialist Presley Black, LPC-Associate

I’m what you might call a quiet extrovert. I used to be quite introverted, but when I developed panic disorder, I realized that if I spent time in groups, I actually felt better. I learned that I gain energy from being from people, so now I do a lot of social activities.

I tend to be a little…well… nerdy. 🤣 I love everything board games and my two cats, Kitty and Little Kitty. (But don’t judge me for their names. They came that way.) I’m into reading and games like Animal Crossing and (unfortunately because it’s such a time-suck) World of Warcraft.

Mostly, I like finding things that bring me joy. So, whatever your interests, please know that I will support you in exploring what brings you joy, too.
