Why Clients Choose Hope For The Journey

Our clients have been handed some really tough experiences in their lives. Traumatic experiences can break apart trust, families, and lives. Too many people believe they have to live with the pain of the past (in particular from a sexual trauma) for the rest of their lives.

We reject that idea! To be sure, you’ll always have the memory. But that doesn’t mean you can’t let go of the pain and the shame that make traumatic events or sexual assault so hard to live with.

At Hope For The Journey, we provide specialized counseling so kids, adults, parents, and partners can heal and live freely and with joy. We know first-hand that this is possible because we get to witness our clients overcoming trauma every day.

Why I Do This Work

Reaching out for help is scary. You’ve already been through enough. Choosing a therapist should not be the hardest part of the process, but so often it is. I started Hope For The Journey because I wanted survivors to have a place to land after their lives have been turned apart by what happened. I wanted to create a place where you can know that you are being cared for by experienced, qualified professionals who really care about you and your recovery.

Who I Help

I have the honor of making sure your process is as smooth as possible from Day One. I am the behind-the-scenes person. I make sure everything is running well and that you get matched with the therapist best for you.

I will probably be the one who talks to you during the free 15-minute consultation call. I handle all the questions about billing and how we do things if your therapist cannot answer them directly.

How I Help

Healing is hard enough. So, I want the process to be as simple and straight-forward as possible.

With almost 20 years experience working with trauma and sexual violence survivors in North Carolina and now the greater Austin area, as well as running two other businesses, I am so honored to be bringing this much needed service to the Round Rock and greater Austin area.

If you have questions that your therapist can’t answer about how things run or you’d like to give us some feedback or suggestions, I’d love to hear from you!

You can contact Hope For The Journey any time! If we are unavailable to take your call, leave a message and the appropriate person will return your phone call within 24 hours or the next business day. The physical office is open only when clinicians are scheduled to see clients, though.

You can send us a message or schedule a free 15-minute telephone consult. Just pick out the time of your choice between 2-6:30pm Monday – Friday. I’ll give you a call, answer all your questions and get you started on feeling better.

Rates vary from therapist to therapist depending on experience. Check each therapist’s About page for more details.

We are an out-of-network provider for all insurances.

If you want to use your Out-of-Network benefits, we do courtesy billing on your behalf. This means you pay upfront, we submit all the paperwork and, depending on your benefits, you’ll possibly get a reimbursement check in the mail directly from the insurance company following our sessions.
