Hi! I’m Heather.

If you are ready to rediscover yourself and rebuild your relationships, I’m here to help.

Together, we will create a safe harbor for curiosity and healing. The past doesn’t have to dictate your future. To find out more about how I might help, read on.

Why My Clients Choose Me For Relationship Help and Couples Therapy

You are sick and tired of complacency and feeling disconnected. You want to get over the hurts of the past and feel close to one another again.

In my office, we will work to make things to feel easier and more connected–in parenting, partnering, or even co-parenting after a divorce. Through either individual or couples therapy, I can help you learn how to communicate and maneuver life even when a crisis has occurred.

Life events like chronic illness, a sexual abuse history, or depression shouldn’t keep you from a life of love and belonging. Let’s get started.

You and Your Relationships Are Worth Fighting For

Why Seek Relationship Help At All?

The truth is, if you don’t recognize that your relationships are important enough to invest in, we won’t be a good match.

We all struggle in our relationships. When we engage that struggle from a place of curiosity and hope, that is the sweet spot. I find joy in helping people move from feeling stuck to feeling confident and connected.

COVID-19 has created more strain than normal on relationships. You might be struggling with feeling…

  • Worn down & listless
  • Increasingly impatient & irritable
  • Bored
  • Overwhelmed by the past
  • Hopeless
  • Disconnected & isolated

Why I Love Being a Couples and Family Therapist

The desire to become a therapist snuck up on me, surprised me.

One stunning day, an acquaintance called me at a moment of crisis, and I noticed that I felt honored and energized by the experience of supporting her in that moment. I realized that these kinds of moments had been happening to me more and more frequently, and that they were the moments in life that I found to be the most life-giving.

I find the strength and resilience that arises in people in their moments of greatest struggle to be captivating; I am awed and inspired by those who have the courage to invest in vulnerability. I find beauty in the face of someone experiencing the tender moment of awareness that precedes an explosion of growth.

If you are ready to grow, I can help you learn how.

Why I Love Being a Couples and Family Therapist

While a huge bulk of my work is with couples and families, I also see individuals one-on-one. Often, this focused-in approach allows people to grow and heal on a deep level to change relationship patterns whether you are currently in a relationship or not.

Upon completion of treatment, many of my clients feel:

  • confident in their own skin
  • better able to communicate their thoughts and feelings
  • more connected with their body and sexuality
  • more able to set healthy boundaries
  • self aware and able to self-soothe
  • ready for the challenges of a healthy, long-term relationship
