Hold Me Tightâ„¢

2-Day Couples Workshops | Austin, TX - Stay Tuned For Details

Intimacy * * * Connection * * * Renewal

“I spend all day with the kids, cleaning & cooking, running them around…You come home and spend all your time attached to your phone.”

“What? I’ve been working all day! I deal with all the stress around here & you don’t even care.”

Does this feel familiar? Are you and your partner caught in an endless loop of arguments and anger? Are you worried your relationship might not make it?

If so, you need a reset.

Join the thousands of couples across the US who are now feeling connected and secure because they attended a Hold Me Tight™ couples weekend workshop.

The Hold Me Tightâ„¢ workshop was designed by Dr. Sue Johnson, a leading couples therapist and creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The workshop is based on principles outlined in Dr. Johnson’s book Hold Me Tight™ and is proven to help couples understand why they fight and how to break the cycle.

Making the honeymoon last takes effort.

Our Hold Me Tightâ„¢ workshop can show you how to make that effort pay off for years to come.

What is a Hold Me Tightâ„¢ Couples Workshop?

What Is a Hold Me Tight NOT?

It’s NOT therapy.

Nope. This workshop is perfect if you or your partner isn’t quite ready for the vulnerability of couples therapy. In fact, it may be all you need.

Most of the couples who attend arrive knowing things could be better in their relationship, but unsure exactly what they need. They leave the weekend feeling more connected and usually have clarity over what the next step should be…

A) We’re good! From here, we’ll just be practicing the skills learned during the workshop

B) We need to dig deeper and start couples counseling (but now there’s readiness AND you got about a 2-month jump start in just 2 days and for a fraction of the cost)

Stay tuned for upcoming workshop dates!

Who Are Your Hold Me Tight Facilitators?

The Hold Me Tightâ„¢ Couples Intensive Workshop curriculum was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, a psychologist known for the creation of a leading couples modality called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This workshop is based off the principals outlined in her book Hold Me Tight.

Both of our trainers are EFT-trained practitioners. Angela Jensen-Ramirez has completed certification in EFT. Both are experienced couples therapists with sex therapy certifications and beloved by their clients. You’ll love them, too!

Heather Hammock, LMFT

Heather Hammock is a couples counselor at Hope For The Journey, a group of trauma counselors in Texas. She is also a licensed sex therapist and is EMDR trained, working towards certification. Heather practices out of our Round Rock location, as well as providing online therapy for folks anywhere in Texas. Heather's experience with couples has created quite the demand for her services. Her clients say things like, "Heather has been so amazing. She offers new ways of looking at at situations and new ways of communication and understanding my partner."

Angela Jensen-Ramirez, LCSW, CST

Angela Jensen-Ramirez is owner of Anew Therapy in Austin, TX. She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist. With these credentials, she uses a holistic approach to her work with couples and individuals. She is the only clinician in Austin that holds both certifications, and clients love her! We are so honored to be partnering with her in our Hold Me Tightâ„¢ workshop.

1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys are sexually abused as children. The impact these early experiences have on relationships is staggering. Our facilitators are Trauma Specialists. So, if you or your partner has a history of trauma, sexual or otherwise, our workshop is tailored especially for you.
